Who Are We?

Gabriel_croppedHungryDogCoffee–Maui is named for Gabriel, our shelter-adopted “Bluenose” bull terrier mix.  His perpetual thoughts are:  “What a pretty place; I like it here;”  and of course, “When’s Dinner?”  Gabriel_HungryDog_web      Like our coffee, he never bites.

We are Maui.: The HungryDog Coffee Farm is located in “Lower” Kula at the 1,400 ft elevation.  We belong to the Maui Coffee Association, a group of small to mid-sized growers in the County of Maui;  located in multiple growing areas, ranging from from Sea level, to more than 4,000 feet in elevation, allowing Maui coffees to develop and mature in differing ways, (often with differing seasonal cycles;)  this results in brews with flavors that are much more than mere “clones” of one another, or of other area varietals.  In order to truly know Hawaii, and the Hawaiian coffees; especially the wide variety of the famed Maui estate coffees, one needs to sample the individual brews of the many small farms planted in Maui Island’s unique spaces.

This Farm does business as Mahina Ai O Iliahi-a maui farm, its physical address is Lot 20, Kula Agricultural Park, 2550 Pulehu Road, Kula, Maui, HI 96790.  Call or text 8 am to 5 pm Hawaiian standard time,  2O5-O423 @ area code +1 8O8.
